Member Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before applying for your MyAlumPass. By submitting your application you confirm that you have read and agreed to everything below.

About MyAlumPass

MyAlumPass is a verified digital alumni rewards card issued by MyCo Digital Solutions Limited ("MyCo", "we", "us"). The pass enables verified university alumni to access exclusive discounts and benefits at a curated network of approved partner merchant brands.

Holding a MyAlumPass is a privilege, not a right. MyCo reserves the right to decline any application or cancel any pass in accordance with these Terms.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a MyAlumPass you must:

  • Be a current dues-paying member of a partner alumni association
  • Successfully complete identity verification as required by MyCo
  • Provide accurate and truthful information throughout the application process
  • Be at least 18 years of age

MyCo reserves the right to verify your eligibility at any time. If you no longer meet the eligibility criteria your pass may be suspended or cancelled.

Application and Identity Verification

As part of the application process, you will be required to:

  • Provide your full legal name as it appears on official identity documents
  • Provide your date of birth for identity verification
  • Submit a selfie or photograph for identity verification and pass display purposes
  • Provide your National Identification Number (NIN) as the default method of identity verification, or your Bank Verification Number (BVN) as an alternative if you do not hold an NIN
How your NIN, BVN and date of birth are used: These are used solely to verify your identity. Your NIN is verified via the NIMC infrastructure and your BVN via our third-party partner Korapay. Your date of birth is used as part of the verification check only. None of these details are stored by MyCo after the verification process is complete — only the outcome (verified or not verified) is retained.

Providing false or misleading information in your application is grounds for immediate rejection or cancellation of your pass and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Your Pass

Upon approval of your application, MyCo will issue you a digital MyAlumPass. Your pass:

  • Is personal to you and is non-transferable
  • Must not be shared with, lent to, or used by any other person
  • Remains the property of MyCo at all times
  • Is valid for the period stated on the pass, subject to renewal
  • May be renewed on payment of the applicable renewal fee and confirmation of continued eligibility

Any misuse of the pass — including allowing another person to use it or attempting to obtain benefits fraudulently — will result in immediate cancellation and may result in further action.

How the Pass Works — Merchant Verification

When you present your MyAlumPass QR code at a partner merchant, the merchant will scan your code using the MyAlumPass verification system. At the point of verification, the following information will be displayed to the merchant:

  • Your display name (first name and last initial)
  • Your pass tier (Bronze or Gold)
  • The discount or benefit you are entitled to
Important: By holding a MyAlumPass you explicitly consent to your display name and pass tier being shown to the merchant at point of verification. This is a necessary and essential function of the pass. No contact details, NIN, BVN, date of birth, email address, phone number, or any other personal information is shared with merchants at any point.

Transaction data including the date, time, and merchant at which your pass was scanned is recorded by MyCo for operational, fraud prevention, and analytical purposes.

Fees
  • A pass generation fee is payable at the point of application
  • A renewal fee is payable at each renewal date
  • Fees are non-refundable once the pass has been issued or renewed
  • MyCo reserves the right to revise fees at any time with reasonable notice

For members of partner alumni associations where the pass is bundled with membership dues, the applicable fee structure will be communicated by the alumni association.

Partner Merchants

The MyAlumPass merchant network is curated and managed by MyCo. Merchants on the network are subject to change at any time. MyCo does not guarantee the availability of any specific merchant or benefit and accepts no liability for:

  • The quality of goods or services provided by partner merchants
  • Disputes between members and merchants regarding the application of discounts
  • The removal of a merchant from the network

Data Protection and Privacy

MyCo Digital Solutions Limited acts as Data Controller for all personal data processed in connection with MyAlumPass, in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and UK GDPR where applicable.

We collect and process the following personal data:

International transfer — Google Wallet: Your first name, last name, and association name are transferred to Google LLC in the United States to generate your digital wallet card. Google LLC is certified under the UK-US Data Bridge and Standard Contractual Clauses are in place, providing an equivalent level of data protection to UK GDPR. No other personal data — including your photo, NIN, BVN, email, or date of birth — is transferred to Google.
Identity verification — Korapay: Your NIN or BVN and date of birth are sent to Korapay, a regulated Nigerian fintech company, solely to verify your identity. Korapay returns only a verified or not verified outcome. Neither MyCo nor Korapay retains your NIN, BVN, or date of birth after verification is complete.

Your data will not be sold to third parties. It will not be shared with any party other than those described in this section.

You have the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of your personal data. Please note that requesting erasure of your identity data will result in cancellation of your pass. To exercise your data rights, contact us at hello@mycentreoffice.com.

Cancellation and Suspension

MyCo may suspend or cancel your pass at any time if:

  • You are found to have provided false information during the application process
  • Your pass is used fraudulently or by another person
  • You are no longer eligible under the criteria set out in Section 2
  • Your dues with the relevant alumni association are in arrears where applicable
  • You breach any of these Terms

You may cancel your pass at any time by contacting MyCo at hello@mycentreoffice.com. No refund will be given for any unexpired period of the pass. Upon cancellation, your digital card will be revoked from Google Wallet and your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyCo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the MyAlumPass, including but not limited to loss arising from a merchant's failure to honour the pass, system downtime, or changes to the merchant network.

Changes to These Terms

MyCo reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of your pass following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts, except where applicable UK law requires otherwise for members resident in the United Kingdom.
